Mike White Top Choice To Direct Pride And Prejudice And Zombies?

The School Of Rock writer and co-star Mike White is reportedly in the lead to direct the big screen adaption of Pride And Prejudice And Zombies.



The LA Times is reporting that writer/director Mike White is the first on a list of candidates rumored to be the possible director for the adaption Seth Grahame-Smith graphic novel. Mike White has written several movies, notably comedies starring Jack Black such as Orange County, The School of Rock, and Nacho Libre as well as episodes of Freaks And Geeks and Dawson’s Creek. White has only directed one movie-2007s Year Of The Dog, a black comedy starring Molly Shannon.

White is by no means locked into the project as of now and reports state that another director, reported as being less likely to direct, Matt Reeves may also have a shot at directing the project. Matt Reeves has directed horror films such as the remake of Let The Right One In which was retitled Let Me In and Cloverfield.

Original director David O. Russell, director of Flirting with Disaster, left the project last month to focus on a movie adaption of the video game Drake's Fortune.

Reports state that the folks over at Lionsgate are keen to get this film out after the success of AMC's The Walking Dead pilot proved that people will still watch anything with zombies.
