Silent Hill Sequel Has a Director And The Official Title

The sequel to the Silent Hill movie has found it's director plus the official title and a short plot synopsis have also been revealed. Check it out!


In 2006, we saw the first big screen adaptation of the popular video game franchise Silent Hill, directed by Christophe Gans. The film was a mediocre box office success earning around $100 million dollars. Now, four years later the sequel is moving forward.

Shock Till You Drop reports:

"Still on the American Film Market news beat, Shock has learned that Michael J. Bassett is sitting in the director's chair on Silent Hill 2."

Basset is best known for directing Solomon Kane and Death Watch



The site also reports that the official title for the sequel is Silent Hill: Revelations and that it will be in 3D.

And finally, here is the short plot synopsis:

It focuses on a protagonist named Heather Mason who, on the eve of her 18th birthday, is plagued by nightmares and now has to investigate the disappearance of her father.
